Duty Officers

In this Guide you will find a list of all the duty officers, by Department, Specialization and what abilities these can come with.
For these abilities to take effect you will have to place the duty officer in your active roster.

Tactical

Specialization Ability
Conn Officer - (Space) Chance to reduce the time to recharge Evasive Maneuvers
- (Space) Recharge time reduced for Tactical Team and Buff
- (Space) Recharge time reduced for Attack Patterns Beta, Delta and Omega.
- (Space) Chance for +Accuracy, +Perception for Tactical Team
- (Space)(Unique) Risian Drift: After leaving Evasive Maneuvers, moderate power to Engines, small bonus to other subsystems for 10 sec
Energy Weapons Officer - (Space) Chance to reduce the time to recharge when using subsystem targeting attacks
- (Space) Chance to reduce the time to recharge when using cannon special attacks
- (Space) Chance to reduce the time to recharge when using beam special attacks
- (Space) Chance to gain shield power when using energy weapons
- (Space) Increases Singularity Charge rate
- (Space) Beam Overload gives attacks a chance for Shield Penetration
Ground Warfare Specialist - (Ground) Increased damage vs. (Race)
- (Ground) Increased Expose chance vs. Romulans
Projectile Weapons Officer - (Space) Chance to reduce the time to recharge torpedoes.
- (Space) Chance to reduce the time to recharge mines.
- (Space) Chance to gain shield power when using Torpedo Weapons.
- (Space) Torpedoes provide Singularity Charge.
Shield Distribution Officer - (Space) Chance to partially regenerate shields when take damage after using Brace for Impact.
- (Ground) Chance to cause Weapons Malfunction to enemies that fire on you while using Draw Fire.
- (Space) Brace for Impact improves the functionality of your Ramming Speed.
Space Warfare Specialist - (Space) Increased damage vs. (Race)
- (Space) Energy weapon attacks reduce accuracy of Romulans



Security

Specialization Ability
Armory Officer - (Ground) Chance to beam in an additional Phaser or Disruptor Turret
- (Ground) Ground Operational Asset cooldown reduction
- (Ground) Increases the duration of the damage boost from Stealth Module
- (Ground) Doubles chance to expose target
- (Space) Chance to set a random second systems offline when using Subsystem Targeting attacks
-(Space) Chance to summon a Tethered Quantum Mine when activating Dispersal Patterns
Assault Squad Officer - (Ground) Chance to reduce the time for most grenade skills to recharge after use.
- (Ground) Chance to apply a large heal to nearby teammates and revive fallen allies when Rally Cry is used.
- (Ground) Chance to apply a Fragile Hold when using Lunge.
- (Ground) Chance on any melee attacks to knock back the target.
- (Space) Chance for Boarding Party shuttles to be armed.
- (Ground) Chance to deal Electrical damage when using Sweeping Strikes
Security Officer - (Ground) Chance to beam down an additional security escort when using Security Escort
- (Ground) Increased melee Critical chance and Critical severity
- (Space) Extra threat generation with Attack Pattern Delta
- (Ground) Increases damage of Ambush by 100%, but all bonus damage is now a DoT
- (Ground) Your Chroniton Mine Barrier has a chance to Hold Targets in place



Engineering

Specialization Ability
Consultant - (Ground) Increases all skill points earned
- (Ground) Increases all expertise earned
- (Ground) Increases all commendation points earned
- (Ground) Increases all Fleet Marks earned
Damage Control Engineer - (Space) Chance to reduce the recharge time for Emergency Power to subsystem abilities
- (Space) Chance to add a hull heal-over-time effect to Auxiliary Power to Structural Integrity Field
- (Ground) Chance for Quick Fix to add additional damage resistance to its target
- (Ground) Weapons Malfunction has a chance to be cause an Electrical damage-over-time effect
Diagnostic Engineer - (Ground) Chance to increase ranged damage with Equipment Diagnostics
- (Ground) Chance to grant 99% Shield Damage Resistance when using Shield Recharge
- (Ground) Gives your Weapons Malfunction a chance to chain to nearby enemies
Fabrication Engineer - (Ground) Chance to beam in an additional Support Drone
- (Space) Space Operational Asset cooldown reduction
- (Space) Increase duration of Reverse Shield Polarity
Maintenance Engineer - (Space) Recharge time reduced for Engineering Team and Buff
- (Space) Additional buffs based on type of battery activated
- (Space) Increases healing skills when using Emergency Power to Auxiliary
- (Space) Chance to immobilize enemies when activating Eject Warp Plasma
Matter-Antimatter Specialist - (Space) Chance to immobilize enemies when activating Eject Warp Plasma
- (Space) Increase Control Resistance when using Emergency Power to Engine
- (Space) Increase Energy Resistance and Buff duration when using Auxiliary Power to Inertial Dampeners
- (Space) Chance to set target's Weapons Offline with Aceton Beam
Systems Engineer - (Space) Chance to shut down additional subsystems after 30 sec when using Viral Matrix
- (Space) Chance for Viral Matrix to spread to additional targets
- (Space) Reduces Weapon subsystem energy drain while using Directed Energy Modulation
- (Space) Engineering Team has a chance to add power to all Sub-Systems
Technician - (Space) Recharge time on bridge officer abilities reduced
- (Space) Additional Auxiliary Power buff while cloaked
- (Ground) Adds Electrical Damage to Tachyon Harmonic vs. Non-Living Enemies
Warp Core Engineer - (Space) Chance of temporarily improving your ship power on use of any Emergency Power ability
- (Space) Chance of removing all debuffs on use of any Emergency Power ability
- (Space) Chance to reduce Singularity Lockout with Emergency Power abilities
- (Space) Increased Shield Damage Resistance to self when using Extend Shields



Operations

Specialization Ability
Deflector Officer - (Space) Chance to reduce the recharge time for Deflector abilities
- (Space) Chance to reflect damage when using Polarize Hull
- (Space) Chance to gain Aux Power when activating Exotic Damage powers
- (Space) Activating any Singularity Power will increase your Exotic Damage output temporarily
Explosives Expert - (Ground) Chance to beam in an additional Quantum Mortar
- (Space) Improve Abandon Ship damage and explosion radius
- (Ground) Chance to disable weapons with Chroniton Mine Barrier
- (Ground) Stun Grenade now sticks to your target and explodes after 3 seconds
- (Ground) Chance for Exothermic Induction Field to fire projectiles
Flight Deck Officer - (Space) Reduce the time to recharge for Hangar Bay and Boarding Party abilities after use.
- (Space) Increases the defense your Carrier while your fighters are in Recall Mode.
- (Space) Increases the accuracy of any carrier pet launched from your hangar bays while they are in Intercept mode.
- (Space) Increases the damage of any carrier pet launched from your hangar bays while they are in Escort mode.
Hazard System Officer - (Space) Damage resistance buff with Ramming Speed and Brace for Impact
- (Space) Chance to drain target's subsystem energy for 30 sec when Aceton Beam is activated.
- (Ground) Chance to deal double damage with Fuse Armor
Quartermaster - (Ground) Reduces recharge time for Combat Supply
- (Ground) Ground Operational Asset Discount
- (Ground) Space Operational Asset Discount
- (Space) Recharge time reduced on all consumable batteries and Battery abilities.
- (Ground) Cover shield gives a Resistance buff to nearby allies
Sensors Officer -(Space) Debuff target's offensive damage with Sensor Scan
- (Space) Increases Damage Threshold to Break Jam Sensors
- (Ground) Target Optics debuffs enemy Damage Resistance
Tractor Beam Officer - (Space) Drains target shields with Tractor Beam
- (Space) Drains Engine subsystem power with Tractor Beam Repulsors
- (Space) Tractor Beam Repulsors now Pulls nearby enemy ships
Transporter Officer - (Space) Chance to remove hostile boarding parties with Transfer Shield Strength
- (Ground) Chance to create a Medical Generator or Shield Generator when the other ability used



Science

Specialization Ability
Astrometrics Scientist - (Space) Recharge time reduced on all Transwarp abilities
- (Space) Chance of collecting additional particle traces when scanning anomalies
- (Space) Increase duration of the defense buff given by Mask Energy Signature
- (Space) Chance to set target's Engines Offlines with Subnucleonic Beam
- (Space) (Unique) Causes Hazard Emitters to apply Emergency Hazard Emitters to any friend with less than 50% hull within 3k of the primary target. This provides all the affects of Hazard Emitters I to the damaged friend.
Biologist - (Ground) Increases the duration of Anesthezine Gas and Tricorder Scan debuffs
- (Space) Debuffs the ability recharge times of those affected by Scramble Sensors by -50%
Botanist - (Ground) Chance for Melorazine or Dylovene to apply to your entire team each time it is used.
Development Lab Scientist - (Space) Recharge time reduced for Science Team and Buff
- (Space) Adds Resistance Debuff to Feedback Pulse
Geologist - (Ground) Chance to reduce cooldown on Exothermic Induction Field and Hyperonic Radiation
- (Ground) Chance to create a Phasic Instability when using Electro-Gravitic Field
- (Ground) (Unique) Chance to root foes affected by your Exothermic Induction Field
Gravimetric Scientist - (Space) Chance to create an aftershock Gravity Well
- (Space) Chance to create an aftershock Tyken's Rift
- (Space) Reduces Cooldown on Exotic Damage Powers when a Spatial Anomaly is activated
- (Space) Reduces Singularity Decay Rate while Cloaked
- (Space) On use of Charged Particle Burst, provides a chance to apply additional Radiation damage to the target
- (Space) Improved Repel for Photonic Shockwave, but removes Disable component
Photonic Studies Scientist - (Space) Reduce recharge time of Photonic abilities
- (Space) Chance to trigger aftershock Photonic Shockwave
Research Lab Scientist - (Space) Chance to Placate when using Charged Particle Burst
- (Ground) Chance to Confuse with Neural Neutralizer
- (Space) Chance for -15 sec recharge on shield heals when using Science Team
- (Ground) Adds Electrical Damage to Stasis Field.
Warp Theorist - (Space) Applies a turn rate debuff with Tachyon Beam
- (Space) Increased turn rate at Full Impulse
- (Space) Reduces Singularity Decay Rate while at Full Impulse
- (Space) Chance to disable one subsystem when using Energy Siphon



Medical

Specialization Ability
Biochemist - (Ground) Adds a damage resistance debuff when most Science Kit debuffs are applied
- (Ground) Reduce recharge time on all Stimulants, Shield Charges and Power Cells
- (Ground) Chance for Nanite Health Monitor to have extra charges.
- (Ground) Adds a root effect to Sonic Pulse
- (Ground) Anesthizine Gas projectile now sticks to your target and explodes after 3 seconds
Counselor - (Ground) Chance to increase a target's Willpower whenever a Science Buff or Heal is used
Doctor - (Ground) On use of Medical Tricorder or Vascular Regenerator, chance to increase your maximum hit points
- (Ground) Chance for a second heal from Triage and Medical Tricorder
Medic - (Ground) Chance to beam down additional medical support when using a hypo
- (Space) Increases crew recovery while in combat, when crew is below 75%
Nurse - (Ground) Chance to beam down additional medical support when using a hypo
- (Space) Increases crew recovery while in combat, when crew is below 75%



Civilians

Specialization Ability
Advisor - (Ground) Remove debuffs with Overwatch
- (Ground) (Unique) Reduced recharge time of psionic powers

Diplomat - (Space) Team abilities grant a chance to drain attacker's Weapon Power
Entertainer - (Space) Chance to inhibit target's Perception on use of beams and cannons
- (Ground)(Unique) Emergency Power to Party: When you activate a Subspace Party Amplifier, anyone who dances for 10 seconds gains +Dodge and Avoidance

The Xindi lockbox gives a chance to reward you with a purple duty officer, not only do they have a new effect but they also have an R&D speciality, below I will list the name and type for both factions so you can search for them on the exchange if you are looking for a special R&D duty officer!

Klingon:

Kimdomma - Shield Distribution Officer
R&D School: Shields
Ability: (Space) The last activation cycle of your Tachyon Beam gains a chance to knock the opponent's nearest Shield Facing offline for a short duration. 20% chance: knock target's nearest Sheild Facing offline for 2.5 sec.

Zuain - Assault Squad Officer
R&D School: Ground Equipment
Ability: (Ground) When using Ambush, there is a small chance that a short duration Ambush effect will be automatically re-applied when outgoing damage causes the Ambush effect to end. This re-application can only ever happen once per Ambush use, and the re-applied Ambush is shorter duration than a standard Ambush.20% chance: Automatically refresh Ambush for 5 sec when expired by outgoing damage.

Kolrimm - System Engineer
R&D School: Engineering
Ability: (Ground) Beaming in a Combat Supply creat also has a chance to periodically create a small number of Chroniton Mines in the surrounding area. Every second, Combat Supply has a 25% chance: Set up a Chroniton mine nearby that will last 30 seconds.

Rommarol - Fabrication Engineer
R&D School: Projectile Weapons
Ability: (Space) Whenever you launch a Tricobalt Torpedo there is a chance it will fly to its target much faster. This affects High Yields and Spread versions as well. 35% chance: Tricobalt Torpedoes you launch will have a 50% more flight speed.

Ainsuri - Technician
R&D School: Cannon Weapons
Ability: (Space) Activating Emergency Power to Auxiliary has a chance to increase the damage dealt by your Exotic Damage abilities for a short duration. 10% chance: Grant 25% Bonus Damage to Exotic Damage abilities for 10 sec.

Zumamt - Research Lab Scientist
R&D School: Engineering
Ability: (Ground) Whenever Stasis Field is applied to an enemy, you gain a chance to capture a second nearby enemy in a weaker Stasis Field. This effect can only chain once per Duty Officer of this type on active duty. 20% Chance: Stasis Field will spread to a secondary enemy target.

Ixmuat - Matter-Antimatter Specialist
R&D School: Science
Ability: (Space) Your Gravity Well will have a periodic chance to disable any affected foes' Engines for a very short duration. This chance is checked every time the anomaly deals damage. Each second, 20% chance: Gravity Well will knock affected targets' Engine subsystem offline for 1 sec.

Doimma - Energy Weapons Officer
R&D School: Beam Weapons
Ability: (Ground) While Draw Fire is active, this officer grants you a chance to restore some heath each time you take damage from a non-periodic source. While Draw Fire is active, 20% chance when receiving damage to Heal Self for +x Hit Points.
